POS 4413 - Fall 2017
This course will be an examination of the American Presidency, it’s creation, it’s powers and duties, and the different individuals who have held the office, and the entirety of the office including the cabinet positions and the bureaucracy. The basic question we want to answer in this class is what are the powers and limits of the powers of the office of a Presidency. How strong/weak is the office versus other executives across the globe and why were such powers/limits on powers created for the office.
